My application sends SMS messages to people, but the numbers entered in as their cell phone are sometimes land lines (this is user error or the user not really knowing if the contact number they have is a cell phone or landline.)

I do a moderate amount of physical document fax sending using my AIO connected to a landline (via Crapcast Xfinity broadband). But I don't otherwise need this landline because we have enough cell phones in the house to cover every pair of ears. Any suggestions...

I can't quite get my heard around this. My landline doesn't work so assumed it was the phoneline, which would therefore affect the broadband.
But the broadband is working fine.
I've plugged in a different phone, and that doesn't work either at my house...

If you have An NTE5 type master socket then remove the faceplate and connect the phone to the test removing the faceplate if you have phone extensions as it will have wiring connected to the back if the fault is not on the phone network....

I have embarq phone service and dropped all the extras a few months ago they said it would only be $17 a month. It always ran $22 with fees. Now it is up to $28 for taxes and subscriber fees. Any advice on other landlines or magic jack? The cell phone...

A: It works pretty much the same way as checking your cell phone would from a landline, you dial your landline number and press the # key and when prompted, put in your code.
