Funding confirmed and put on waiting list.
Surgeon says YES! Decide on band.

Has anyone here had the Lap Band Surgery as i'm a candidate for surgery and wanting to know real life stories by those who've had it done? Whats the positives and negatives?

I'm scheduled to meet with my surgeon on Wednesday to discuss my options. I've read that weight loss is very rapid with bypass, but I'm leaning towards the lap-band because it sems less invasive. Anyone on here care to share their thought, tips, expiriences...

Feel free to email me is any othe it for a personal trainer...that's what I recommend .
I would do Lap Band, recovery is better and it is less invasive.

I have diabetes, and gastric.
Gastric Bypass is supposed to lose the most, and quicker than lap band.
Originally I was leaning towards.
I searched hard between the lap band and the gastric bypass.

Hi everybody. I have started my journey towards wls. What are the real differences between the Lapband and Realize band? To me they look the same and do the same thing. Does anybody have any recommendations?

I thought the chamber where the saline fits was thicker on the lap band - and I liked no stapling....
And they passed the lap band and realize band around the room; it seems we get to choose as the surgery group offers both.

I'm not done losing this is just showing my progress so far. My goal is a size 7 or 130 lbs. whichever comes first =)
I started at 240 and am now at 167. I do the insanity work outs 6 days a week, sometimes seven. =)

I would only consider the lap band as a last resort.

And it worked! So no lap band needed.
