After a few google searches, I've seen some links where batteries can be opened and the batteries inside replaced with high power rechargeable batteries.
Is this possible.
I have a sony vaio and replacement batteries are £50 plus.

I got one from Hong, which was the same as the original, and when I got rid of the laptop about 8 months ago, the cheapo price of the brand new laptop....
A replacement battery for my Toshiba laptop and a genuine Toshiba one was £80+.

chip of your VGA is fried, then there's no way to repair it, unless changing your laptop's whole lights by recommending a good technician or shop for laptop VGA Re-balling / repair.

Having to assist in taking apart the laptop...long story short, he didn't reapply thermal paste to the CPU and it burned out and I had to have my laptop sent to the service center.

My laptop has Windows 7 installed.
My Toshiba Satellite L650 started slowing down and freezing every hour or so while for a few weeks which progressively got more often. I thought it was the new modem/router the cable...

But I believe the laptop already had a
virus so the damage may have been too severe to repair.

all 4 HD screws turn, and the screen displays again.

My problem was connecting....
Make sure the processor is well attached to its heat sink, if not the chip overheats there.
I wouldn't go further than testing the power supply at your skill level .
It will almost certainly be uneconomical to repair.
