Data protection on USB drives?
Lexars drives that come loaded with Secure II work for me. Its self-contained so there is no need to install programs anywhere.

Are new larger HDD's coming soon?
I think 2TB will be the cap for a while, but I'm sure we're bound to see bigger ones soon, they might even go straight to 4. I'm waiting as I'm sure the 2TBs will continue to drop in price. I have 4 drive bays in my server waiting for some new drives.

Was Wilma's "pinhole eye" part of a larger eye?
I think Wilma did have a pinhole eye and those images capture the ERC that replaced it. My understanding is they can't last for long and are typically a product of extremely rapid intensification, so the quick destruction of the eye would be expected.

Is hardware firewall really useless?
Overall what I think is that if you configure them correctly, they can be quite helpful. It really depends on what type you have and how you configure them. But, its always good to have a software firewall also.

Are Atlantic Tropical Systems Getting Larger?
There have always been large cyclones in the Atlantic. Take the Long Island and Great Atlantic storms for example. But lately it cannot be ignored that we've seen alot of very large hurricanes. Opal, Floyd, Ivan, Ike, Katrina, Wilma, Frances, and several others. Considering that records are less and less reliable the further back we go I wouldn't jump to anything. I would be interested to hear what some pro mets have to say however.
