playing lead blues guitar is very different from say jazz or anything pentatonic/blues scale (preferably in at least two different patterns).

The guitar jack is connected to a transmitter (usually attached to the guitar strap at the rear of the artist) the signal is picked up by the receiver that is connected....
It works the same as the wireless microphone.

A round, smooth, fat, lead guitar tone like that comes a lot from the rest of the mix, particularly a lead guitar tone IMO.
