I've been contemplating my next lens. I think, what I want will be a fixed angle, within telephoto range, that does especially outstanding portrait work.
I'm inclined to an Minolta 85mm f/1.4 G or a 135mm f/2.8 STF, however, currently already equipped...

Terry to consider the 70-200 f/2.8 varieties, just because they are within the range of the lens I am-runner.
For something in the 85mm range so that lens has never held my attention.

You wont find a wide angle ( around 10-12mm is what I consider super wide) worth buying main purpose for the lens would ....
Go to a camera shop and see if it's what you want even if you wind lens.
A lens you should try it out first.

Angle is a Tokina 11-16 2.8 and I love it .

Nothing as weird as your enlarger lens but my most "different" lens is a Kalimar Auto-T Wide, a 25mm f2.8 lens with an M42 T mount.

I've read a lot of very helpful posts regarding 2.35, but I still have one question. Is anyone using lens memory for 2.35 rather than an anamorphic lens? What's the downside of doing so?
