18-200mm lens only or kit lens & 55-300?:
Hi,
I'm about to buy my K-X and just pondering about lens.
Good deal available for body, kit lens and 55-300mm f/4-5.8 ED Lens.
On the other hand I was thinking about buying body only and getting this-Tamron 18-200mm f3.5-6.3 XR DI II Lens - Pentax Samsung...

Yes the IQ of the 18-200 is not that good.
If you want a single lens solution then go for the 18-250 as this is a considerable cut above the older 18-200's
The twin lens solution will give you is a Tamron lens, also rebranded and ....

lens? if you're looking between the tamron 17-50mm and sigma 18-50mm, then optically, the tamron-in-one lens

I got the dreaded "lens error, restart camera". I didn't drop it or get sand in it that I know of. Sigh. The best option so far is looking to be paying Canon $$ to send me a replacement (possibly slight upgrade).

Of small birds.
The prime is said to be a fantastic BIF lens and i 100% agree! If its possible rent both lens without monopod / tripod or similar..
However, if you are going to use only 400mm I suggest 400-round lens and has also....

With Sony 28-75 f2.8 lens, still need prime lens 50 f1.8?
Hi, thinking of getting sony lens 28-75mm f2.8 and a prime lens 50mm f1.8
I have heard from my friend and colleague saying that if I have 28-75mm f2.8, I don't need to waste money buying the prime lens since the 28-75mm lens give higher picture quality...

I believe this lens is as sharp as my 50 f1.4
28-75 f2.8 is more like a general lens with f2.8
But usually sensor.

I didnt notice, the 40.5mm is actually written on the lens itself, I just found out last night, haha reading up on this camera for a couple of weeks before I bought it and I didnt take note of the lens on this camera for a couple of weeks....
