Dad & I bought seedlings earlier in the week and DH & I were ready to plant them that evening until dad started to have a bird b/c he "swore" that the ground was still too cold and we still had frost overnight - which was totally incorrect. We held off...

I imagine you are pretty close to that so it is entirely possible to get another frost in the next few weeks .
The average last frost date for my area is June 2nd .
Especially with that spearmint!!
I'm going to defend dear old Dad a bit .

Opne the oven and pull out the rack put the cookie sheet on the rack and then pour the filling in to the pie pan.
Put your empty pie pan lined with the crust on a cookie sheet.
