I keep worrying cos after lifting / carrying my toddler / bending down to pick up toys etc etc I sometimes get pains in my tummy and need to rest.
Can this cause miscarriage or damage the baby in any way?

I know this may sound like a silly question, but any restrictions lifting a toddler while pregnant? DS is around 30 pounds. He's pretty independent, but often asks to be picked up to reach something. Also, he's still in a crib, and DH leaves for work ...

I had to stop after I developed a subchorionic hematoma, but if you have no reason not to lift to BFP.
But my doctor told me to continue with my daily activities (which included moderate weight lifting).

My OB's restriction on lifting is nothing greater than 25 lbs. That said, my DH freaked out tonight when I brought home a heavy grocery bag. We finally weighed the darn thing on a scale and it was 19 lbs. Is he being overly paranoid or am I lifting too...

My dog weighs 40 pounds, but he is small and compact (just fat, hee hee) and not a big dog or anything. He doesn't like other dogs, so if loose dogs approach us on our walks (which doesn't happen often...maybe once a month), then I'll scoop him up and...

What are your 2+ yr olds using to sit at the table?
I'm starting to wonder if it would be good to get a second high chair that Connor can easily climb into himself like the Tripp Trapp, Svan, or similar (since they have the foot rest/step and are height...

We generally lift her into it but my nanny has been training her to use a little stool at lunch time.I don't see the issue with lifting though.
Don't use that much.

My 8 month old is really heavy and sometimes I don't have time to work out so while I am busy with him I will lift him up in the air doing sets. I also hold him and do squats. IS THAT CONSIDERED A WORKOUT

He is 4 now and is 60 lbs ....and still wants picked up at least 5 times a day .
If you don't get the cow thing, I'm referring but to lift him.
Doesn't know if you're lifting a barbell, a baby, or a cow.

Labby-from what I hear, sounds like pretty typical behavior during the adjustment period. I'm sure totally exacerbated by your parents' lack of concern for her routine and rules. Sucks that you can't rely on them for relief with O.
TDG-sorry, but your...

I've been watching craigslist for a Tripp Trapp myself.
Sure, its more expensive than a booster but it also has a much longer usability window .
I don't let A climb into his Tripp Trapp alone but we love it nonethless .

Does anyone use either of these seats in their E?
The Orbit's weight limit is double the Zeus, but the Orbit doesn't rotate 360. Before I spend $350+ on a car seat I was hoping someone here would have some experience with either of these and could offer...

Why would you need a full 360 rotation on the seat? It seems to me the most you would need is 180, to go from rear facing to forward facing at some point, plus stop halfway to point it out of the door for easy load / unload?
Of course, this is coming ... .

So today, I happened to flip through the little booklet my doc's office gave me on what I can/can't do during pregnancy. I was mainly looking for which meds are OK to take. But I got to the page that says, "Don't lift anything over 25 pounds." My son ...

You just may not want to lift much more than for so long.
I think usually they say if it's something you do all the time (like lifting a toddler) it's not that bad if you are used to lifting your son, it should be fine.
