First of all, since UIBarButtonItem is not a descendant of UIView , you probably cannot use UIKit animations directly on the UIBarButtonItem .
There's some discussion here , but the solution is not so elegant .

In iTunes, I want to do something like this:
Podcast > (podcast name) > right click > go to podcast page in iTunes Store

This one is a bit dodgy.
On the right arrow ant the end of the podcast name tales me to iTunes if I got the podcast from iTunes.

Between different iTunes libraries easily "Shared Libraries" - I'd not spotted that one.
