This isn't as short as YouTube....
Since a GUID is always 128 bits, you can omit .
Youtube has a simple randomized string generator that you can probably());
That generates a string like E1HKfn68Pkms5zsZsvKONw== .
Technically it's not a Guid.

You could also wait for HTML5.
Unless this is for fun/experience just use YouTube/Vimeo/{InsertExistingVideoHostingSiteHere an existing service, then a CDN like limelight a good option.

Use the YouTube API and let them do the heavy lifting for you.

You need to have a youtube account, are you logged in? The Like button will count +1 afterYou must wait for the page or Youtube to refresh, because of all the other people liking it as well.
