Youtube is nice and all, but if you want free movies and tv shows for easy streaming Crackle puts full length movies on YouTube for free for a limited time (there's a few ads old, the copyright runs....

Have you tried SWFObject for displaying FLVs? Used this recently in a project and it works a like.
Use the YouTube API and let them do the heavy lifting for you.
For thumbnails and more in an easy way...
