I agree with you 100% that Skylar is amazing and in the beginning I didn't like her at all but, she grew on me and I didn't know how much I liked her until she got sent home.

It's almost less like Eva than Haruhi Suzumiya, with Lain self consciously.
It was kinda like Eva, but Lain had the courage in it, not outside it.
