Up in storage my dad has a transmission that is out of a Zephyr. It needs gone through to be sure, but it looks like a solid core transmission that is in need of rebuilding. Are these transmissions worth much of anything?

Strongest manual transmissions.
In the early/mid 1950s Lincoln Zephyr transmissions were the hot thing.

i have a 1936 licoln zephyr which i am restoring
and as i am disabled will be fitting a c4 mustang auto gearbox with the flatomatic kit

He's been gone for several years now, but his Lincoln probably still.
Dick drove his Lincoln all over the west in the late 70's in the California San Fernando Valley.
