Drying Raw Linseed Oil? Quick question....
After soaking a wooden handle overnight in Raw Linseed...is it ok to wipe it down and dry it in an Airing Cupboard ? Or should it be left at room temp?
I know raw linseed can be a bit tetchy,so wasn't sure about...

That's why you're always advized to dry out any rags you've used with linseed oil before of rags is probably the number....
When linseed oil is drying it's oxidating (reacting with oxygen) and that process generates heat.

Ive used boiled linseed oil on car bumpers before , today when i opened the trim ultra i recognised it as the same smell and colour etc

If you want a natural color look to boiled linseed oil covered with your top coat to protect it.
I view boiled linseed oil as a natural looking "stain".

I'd go for a tung based oil, like Danish oil over boiled linseed.

My stand oil is way thicker than my refined linseed, to the point where it's much more difficult with traditional linseed oil.

I read here the author of the article lets stand oil and turpentine sit for a few days until they mix together to produce a painting medium.

I just discovered that my Black lab ate a foam brush that I used a few hours ago to apply some BLO. Anything to be concerned about? The can does say it's not for consumption (duh!), but the amount he actually got into his system is probably very minimal...

Pure linseed oil is the same as the Flaxseed Oil sold in any drug ....
The linseed oil itself may not be a problem, but BLO does have some metallic driers added ( I thought I know is it's bad luck to be superstitious.

Last night I was putting a coat of BLO on some boxes. I soaked down the rags with water and laid them out flat on the shop floor to dry.
