Tried my hand at crab cakes tonight and they were awful. I'm a decent cook, taught by my grandma, however these cakes were terrible. So does any one have a good recipe for these or some pointers. They were rolled in bread crumbs with some seasoning added...

They musta been dookie crabs ! That recipe sounds jammin! When I make them it is: crab, little bread crumbs or Planko, onions and celery, chopped fine.

Would u put jam into fairy cakes? If so when do i put it in and just ordinary jam that you would put on your toast?
Anything else simple that i could do to them to make them different. Am making plain ones too.

Delicious! Put a little bit of lemon rind in the cake mix and then when a cone shape out of the top of the fairy cake when cooked, put a spoon of raspberry jam topped off, then a blob of jam and cover with....
With sieved icing sugar.

Do you guys have any ideas how else I can eat these crab cakes? They are too "fishy" for me but I don't want to throw them away since crab is so expensive and I hate throwing away food.
Any idea what else I can do with them to hide the taste so to speak...

I've never actually had Betty Crocker brownies in the microwave .
But yeh cake fix, they would probably fit the bill.

Well for mothers day I made one of my Mon's favorite meals. Crab cakes. However I put a bit of a twist on them and put shrimps in as well.
