I live near USF and like to fish the Hillsborough, but I haven't been able to find anywhere close to buy minnows or shiners. Walmart is the only place nearby to buy worms. Anyone know of anywhere in this area to get live bait? I'd love to buy even worms...

I use live bait for bass very rarely but I have only seen one tackle shop that sold shiners freshwater bait spot but if you find one it really pays off, usually shallow ponds.

Can any1 give me any tips how to hook a live pin whiting for bait i tried it a couple of times with a 3/0 pennell but when i do it the fish just curls up in a little ball and looks crap any ideas

The best way really is to cast out a rig that catches your live bait and presents it nicely all in one go without having to reel in and re-cast (chances are it would be a dead bait by the time, the closer the better really Simply ....
