I thought liver shunt showed when they're puppies
I noticed that Nicky trembles slightly some times. So subtle that only I noticed it and I was beginning to feel self-conscious around people who think I tend to over react when it comes to my babies

While it is life-threatening if not treated he was 4 he crashed one night and I did another ultra sound and the shunt was found.
A lot of information about liver shunt here on YT.

I'm getting nowhere with my local vet re: my little guy's liver condition (possible shunting) and I want to go see a specialist. I figure if I'm going to be traveling regardless, I should go see the best.

If a Yorkie has liver shunt surgery and doing well after the surgery, are they then "well." Or does liver shunt cause any lingering/chronic conditions? I'm looking at a dog who has done well after the surgery, but just wonder if there will be remaining...

His last EGD was done about 6 weeks ago and banding was good and ultrasound of the liver scale as you probably know that ....
Finally got the bleeding to stop and i was told at that time he had advanced liver disease and lexapro.

Lola has a brain tumor, inflammatory, no bacteria or fungi. She is currently on Pred and PhenoB and doctor wants to switch to Cyclosporine. She is on several liver supplements, but her ALT went from 427 to 814 after taking the drugs.
