But if your main intention is to watch a Liverpool match than it might be better a few days in London and its surrounding areas and then go Northwest to Liverpool.
Than in London.

If you plump for Tune, I would recommend booking as early as possible you can get somewhere much better... .
Tune Westminster which is just by Lambeth North tube station and Tune Liverpool Street which has only is pretty rare in a London hotel.
