Go to system properties by Control Panel > System to "Roaming Profile")

It basically linked the new domain profile to the old domain profile.
You can copy your local profile over your domain profile using windows easy transfer: http into their original Windows profile.

Try looking in /etc/profile or /etc/bashrc to see if there are any references to /usr/local/bin for mention of /usr/local/bin ? Those files are used by the path_helper utility that is invoked from /etc/profile to set up different....

Quick-and-dirty solution:
create a local user, let's call it "NewUser" log in as NewUser (so that a new default profile is created) reboot (needed to "unlock" profile files, logging off....
That I didn't mind if things went screwy on.

I think it causes problems when it tries to write data to the user profile located on C:\Users\etc...
Often times when users are getting loaded with the TEMP profile it's because the C: is almost out of space.
