I went through hd homerun setup and was able to use/test/configure all 3 tuners.
I then checked sage directory and all 3 scn files are there.

Gerry I have a quad tuner ceton new tuners....
I use my HDHRs with OTA for the HD locals.
Other than the locals I don't get anything else over QAM with Comcast anyway.
I myself would never use the Prime as a QAM tuner.

I know that a Few Freeview boxes like the Goodmans GBD5 and the Matsui Boxes have Dab Tuners inside them, but why cannot all Freeview Boxes have two tuners inside?

The problem.
A DAB tuner probably consumes less power than a DVB-T tuner in the same box (less complex decoding).
Well they are powering up TVs to listen to radio stations via DVB-T .
Paired together.

This is just kind of a general question, not directed at any model of FM tuner in particular, but is it possible to take a frequncy counter, and connect it to a certain point in a radio tuner, and have a readout that changes with the tuning knob?

The Local oscillator (look for tuner or receiver....
The problem is, you won't really find the station frequency .
You have to do some fancy of their tuners.
The Local oscillator is 10.7MHz higher than the tuned frequency.

Has anyone tried a cable card tuner on beyond tv for unencrypted channels? I have read on Hauppauge that there cable card tuner will work with non media center software if its unencrypted. Anyone check this?

So if we good myself, and the traction control, cold start etc would be pretty decent, and a good tuner would!!!! Alpha is a ProEFI ....
And the BF sale prices are great, but am hesitant because of the lack of good local tuners...
