I have an early 2008 MacBook Pro, but I'm starting to watch unfortunate symptoms like some random and unexplained flickering.
Reading this link I'm almost sure that I need to go to an Apple Authorized Service Provider. To be certain about the condition...

If you are seeing flickering, most likely it is affecting you right... .
So, if you have one of those models, it is likely to fail .
I think Apple rather underplayed it there - the error is in the manufacturing and simply, it is a matter of when and not if.. .

I have an iMac 27 inch early 2011. While replacing the hard drive which died over a year later, I accidentally broke the video connector and one gold pin from the logic board. I have a guy who can solder the pin back on but I have to buy a non working...

There is a iMac 21.5 logic board it.
Mine was a 27 inch they look like.
21.5 logic board for parts and repair I might buy to obtain one of these pins.
