I watched a little bird intentionaly cover itself in dirt today, lol. Is this partial to a species or common? Yes i know i can google it, ha. Hearing the general publics response is so much more entertaining.

The dirt will absorb the oil, but nevertheless, other birds without preen glands, also... .
It is very common, and seen done most by birds who have a thin layer of natural oil that absorbs water, or birds with preen glands .
Yeah, birds love their dust baths.

It's a Lesser Speckled Wood Owl :thumbs: I hope that helps :lol: Looks like a Treeb Owl to me the replies until you get the correct one ah I know this - its a Stump Owl :lol:

I caught both species tonight today and caught all three trout species....
This one will probably take smallest of the species! You braved White crappie ....Here's a couple pics for those who count spines.
! #8 brown trout lots of these today.

When you choose species, look for fish from another genus and that don't look anything like the fish for asking so many questions on ....

Invasve species UGH!! Well here we go, they just found a snake head fish in a pond in the Vancouver BC area, and before that some one introduced perch to an ecosystem that supported trout only, infact there are no natural perch habitat within 300 miles...
