There's also that the US is really only interested in the Olympics, and don't really care about the other tournaments. The European squads do care about the World Championships.

Big Ten Conference looking into expanding to 12 teams?
I don't see the advantage of the Big Televen adding Mizzou. They are a middling basketball and football school and they don't have the academics that would boost the conference.
I don't see how a warm body is worth anything, why not add Iowa St then? They're closer to Minn, Wisc, and about the same distance from Ill?

Bringing a team together - what are programmers looking for?
I would suggest you pick up a copy of Peopleware . It gives a good overview of what is required for having great software teams. Joel's post on find programmers is also worth a read.

Looking over the cuts from other teams, anyone interest you?
Good call on Pashos and, if they can plug him in on the right, he will push for PT against Colon. As far as cuts go to make room, I like unloading Hills over Foster simply because Hills only seems to be spelling Maxie Feast. Foster made the 53, no doubt, based on his versatility. When you're only carrying 9 OL, that is a genuine concern.
