Hello, I am experiencing an occasional loud growling/grinding/rubbing from the front suspension while driving under 50km/h. Its happened 5 times today and appears random. I have taken the truck on the hwy and all feels good while driving. No pull, vibration...

My usb portable hard drive fell off the table, landed on the floor and started to make a horrible grinding noise. I assume the platters fell off the spindle? (I think i'm making these terms up)

If your fan is making a grinding noise, it's very likely failing.
I don't know anything about Macs, but a grinding sound from a fan that happens at regular intervals to hit something else.

i have an 03 SSS with 60K miles and i have a grinding noise and it seems to be coming from the frontend. i check the transfercase fluid and its full and also check the front for fluid and it seems fine aswell. it grinds...

Well, what is going on here. My pdvc is making a noise. The only thing I can describe it as is metal vibrating or maybe the sound of someone grinding metal in a shop. It is a very faint noise, not loud or anything. It maybe my imagination, but the blower...

The gear grinding sound was the broken oil pump which allowed the gear to drop down out.
The tractor ran well for a few hours before the grinding noise satisfied.
This, too, was lined up correctly.

The front end was in need.
It was a grinding sound along with what sounded like rubber rubbing something.
The other day after a snowstorm that rolled through, the sound came back loud and just as bad as it ever.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I never did feel anything through the gearshift when the "grinding into third.
The shifting is/was still smooth, it's just grinding syncro.
Any complaints from my passengers anyways.
