A tube amp with a master volume will change tone at different volumes, but it won't....
Attenuators, slave rigs, or a really well placed master volume, or isolation cabinets will sound the same no matter what volume they're at.

Other Lumia models suffer from it too.
It should be fixed in the next update (no date is known for that yet) .
This is a known bug in the current firmware that Nokia are aware of .

When my small children play games on the Mac, they use the keyboard shortcut (what ought to be the "F12" key) to turn the volume up to the max, which is way too loud.

FAL kestrel PA head works fine for 20mins, then power/volume drops and are replaced with a loud humming....? Have cleaned it out with compressed air can to no avail... Works and sounds great until it warms up then the above happens... Any ideas?

I'm new to linux, so I really have 0 idea what I'm doing..
Running:
cat /proc/asound/card0/codec* | grep Codec
My output is
Codec: SigmaTel STAC9200
Codec: Conexant ID 2bfa
When the master volume is set to ~15% it seems no sound is coming out of the speakers...
