Has that ever happened to you? Where the book is still awesome and all but the movie is just...terrible? Or the book wasn't all that good, but the movie was amazing?

Wings Of Honneamise-
Jaw dropping amazing, I was turned on to this movie by a past thread I made. It reminds of me Gilliam's Brazil only animated, in its creation of a fully realized alternate reality somewhere around 1970-1980 in technological development...

I was not mature enough to understand the badassery of the movie.

What was the first movie you saw in a movie theater? Who were you with?
My Dad took me to see Annie, when I was about five. I loved it!

-Post your favorite movie, a movie you've seen recently, or just a random movie title.
-The person posting below you will reply "loved it", "hated it," "never seen it," or ""want to see it."
-That person must also post another movie, and the cycle continues...

Yeah. I haven't really seen it discussed (though I wasn't really around here a lot when it first came out). It does seem like the kind of movie that RT would hate.
Sure it was sentimental, but I loved it. I love horses so much, and I love WWI movies. ...

I loved it as well....
Will this movie provide me with said cry? I might see as tributes to the art of film.
I heard they aren't allowing horses in theaters to watch this so I'm boycotting the movie in the mood for a manly, stifled cry.
