After being off from building the car for about eight months for various reasons I am trying to get back into it. I'm evaluating how to do the lower radiator hose. I decided not to use the stainless flex hose as the joint at the radiator needs to angle...

Have looked better but I believe at the connection of the radiator it would have hung down lower I reworked the lower tube by cutting, reshaping and welding it back together so the radiator end is 1 and you can get the upper....

Hello all,
1998, 1.8T, AEB.
Did TB, waterpump (HUMEL) and thermostat change.
The heat stays at 190F but the water in the expansion tank and the lower radiator hose is COLD!
The upper hose is HOT!
I touched the water pump and it is HOT!
The T-stat is installed...

Does anyone know of a molded or formed lower radiator hose. My 55 is runnung a 327 with radiator in the 6 cyl position. I have am non formed hose

Have two positions, 6 vs 8, I'll look in the morning at the number on the lower hose in my truck thing I bought mine at Advance Auto Parts.

What a pain in the a** !!!! to install....
Any real tips on putting on this one...I bought it at Autohaus.
The Mercedes OEM one on the car look undersized too. The Upper hose is perfect.
Any suggestions? I did not see a sticky...

I can see them, but it was a peace of mind thing.. .
I have the same question about upper and lower radiator hose.
That was the most frustrating part.
