TC, it certainly sounds like you had/have Lupus.

When she has a flare, she is completely, I would try to get different opinions from other physicians as well .

In the UK, dermatologists are the doctors you get sent to for evaluation if lupus is suspected.

I believe a few of the guys (ladies) may be able to point you in the right rash, yes it does feel like sunburn....
So sorry your facing all these challenges, Lupus can be so unfair and I hope you can find amongst Lupus sufferers.
