Based on fertility friend, my luteal phase is about 9 days long. From what I have read online, anything shorter than 10 days (some docs also say 12 days) is considered a luteal phase defect. Does anyone have any experience with this? When I got pregnant...

Would somebody with a lteal phase of twelve days have to test later than somebody with a fourteen day luteal phase?

Today (CD20) I got a peak on my CBFM. That would mean I have a luteal phase of 9-10days. That's really too short isn't it?

Tips for short luteal phase? I have always been a relatively late ovulator, around CD16-19. I also have a short luteal phase, as I start spotting around 10dpo.
Obviously, going on progesterone supps can extend luteal phase, but I am hoping for more over...

This was the first month I though we had a good shot ( I know we havent been trying that long yet) but I'm a little worried because today I started AF and it would have been 10DPO. I hope this was just an off month and that it will lengthen out a bit....

But you can chart your basal body temperature (BBT) to get a sense of when you ovulate and how long your luteal phase is.
I don't know much about changes to luteal phase length over time.

I wouldn't worry unless it gets to 25 or so DPO.... .
And I think Ghostmonkey had one that was 20something days long once...like longer than some people's cycles kind of long .
I had a 17 or 18 day LP a few years ago .
You may only be 10DPO for the record.
