I called about this willys jeep engine I found and the guy told me it was a military crate motor. I said ok well I'm on my way. I bought it up, and it has a strange fuel pump and the down draft ys carb. All the oil line areas and water temp gauge spots...

I have an M38 Arctic top with no wipers. Can anyone help me figure out which ones fit this top ... e.g. they are mounted at the top of the Windshield, not at the bottom. I made new arms for the windshield so it would fold on my GPW.

I have seen some gaskets that were too short on the bottom and would not properly seal around the bottom of the fuel pump flange but looked ok? I prefer the Felpro fuel ....
Check the fit of the gasket to the fuel pump.

Does anybody know if it is possible to drop a F134 engine that came factory in a CJ, into an M38A1 and still maintain the originality of the M38. The donor engine appears to be about the same year as the M38a1. Any help would be greatly appreciated. SFC...

Last summer I picked up this engine to replace the Pinto engine in my 1943 GPW.
The previous owner said it was rebuilt, & appears to be.
I do not know anything about the various years of engines nor what they were put into.
Since it had a T-90 & T/C attached...
