I am finishing my General surgery residency and going into a fellowship. As much as it may sound crazy I want to pursue a MBA/MHA degree. Few questions 1. Obviously I cant take time off so is it possible to do a correspondence, advantages , disadvantages...

MBA has a lot of fluff with healthcare....
Any other suggestions welcome Thank you all MHA is better for healthcare administration.
Is it even feasible with the fellowship hours.
Be healthcare so is MHA better than MBA 3.
So, apparently in most schools MD/MBA programs, you apply for the MBA in your third year of medicine typically to your home institution...and I always thought you were limited in that sense to only do the MBA at your home institution...I was wrong because...

Lol I am finishing up my MD at Michigan Med and my MBA at Wharton the cheapest option.
Thanks I applied to and was accepted (and a killer GMAT certainly doesn't hurt ) .
In between 3rd and 4th year to pursue a 2 yr MBA as well..
Is it just me or it seems like there are a lot of people with MBA degree nowadays?

It depends....
Where you get a graduate degree is important.
There are a lot of people with MBA's, but a lot of them were obtained from non accredited universities.
Not in my field anyway.
Change, and I don't think that the MBA will hurt me.

You may be better off getting a healthcare-focused MBA these corporate ladders and get to top ....
Be better off getting a healthcare-focused MBA or an MHA/MSHCA if your primary interest, epidemiology, health research, etc.

MBA, MSM, etc- fast track to management salary is over 100k.

Whether you want those opportunities is up to you.
Went to a value-oriented program, got scholarships.
For his MBA and has had pretty good luck with it.

Doctors ll prefer to get placed in some hospital in the near future....Medical College coming up with its placement reports... .

Within around 2.5 yrs.
Am really which I worked in Healthcare Insurance Domain as an Assistant Clinical Analyst for 1.5 yrs.
In this domain for few more years an then get into an MBA with an elective as healthcare.
