If the 15in version does, then I'll upgrade from a 13in 2011 MBA to 15in 2012 MBP and put an SSD...
It still works perfectly fine.

In the end you'll, I agree MBP is very good, but SSD in MBA it is huge advantages, MBA work faster, switch....
I threw 8GB of RAM and an SSD in my MBP and it blows circles around my MBA.
But it is limited.

MY MBP is outfitted....
I like them for traveling, but I think I'd and MBP I have to say I couldn't even consider using my MBA for day to day work.
I need my MBP for CAD, so a MBA would never replace it.
What is the difference in power between these two machines (i5 versions). Would I be giving up alot by going with the portability of a MBA? I will use it for some writing and light photo editing and web page editing. What do you think? MBP 13 or MBA 1...

These ate the two in my price range and they are portable.
Difference imho I've never felt my MBA lacking for any task and it doesn't sound like your usage compare them especially the 1.7 vs 2.4 ghz i5.
I'm currently debating either a 13" MBP + 128GB Samsung 830 SSD or 11" MBA with 128GB SSD. Amazon sells the base model 13" MBP for $1099 and 11" MBA for $1120. The Samsung 830 128GB SSD will cost $150. Which one would you personally pick and why? Please...

Since the 11" MBA has a slightly better resolution than the 13" MBP, that is a plus for the MBA, but then again, the MBA is limited to 2 to 4 GB RAM, while the 2011 MBP can take up to 16 GB RAM, and as for TRIM, I have....

Developed, yet no one at work (and we have at least 20 MBA's and even more MBP's) use this product.
