I’ve wanted to hook up my MCE IR receiver directly to my Xantech IR distribution block for a while and finally went about doing it today. I couldn’t find any other info online about doing this and putting all the info together was a bit of a challenge...

Hello,
When I set up my XBox 360 as a Windows Media Extender although I can see all the media I have on my Windows Vista PC it is excruciatingly slow to move between albums etc
Is there anything I can do to improve this or is it just because of the number...

Vista MCE really aren't fast enough for Media Center Extender to work at an optimal speed.
Disappointed that Windows 7 MCE is working so badly using XBOX-360 as a Media Centre Extender.

After installing a new video card my MCE does not play recorded TV, Live TV or DVDs anymore. It will play for a few seconds, and then crash.
If I play a file of recorded TV with Windows Media Player, it works fine.

- This has worked before - I have been using the Media Extender....
