Hello all,
I've start a small project which includes working with Midi files. I've been wondering, does any of you know of a c# \vb.net code that peforms that cast between midi and wav files?

In order to get sounds from a MIDI file, you have to pass the file through a music synthesizer or sampler, which will convert the note and controller information into actual....
MIDI files contain only note and controller information, not sounds.

I want to use .midi instead of .mp3 to save some space but I want a trusted program to do it with. Anyone know what I can use? Thank you!

Can't you just send the midi files to the phone?.
Does it work with MP3 or WAV's? Quicktime Pro can convert MIDI files to MP3 or WAV files, if that helps.

I'm maybe alone here to love General MIDI. It may sound boring, but it can also sound really insanely good if you put time down on processing the MIDI file good. Is anyone here also fond of General MIDI?

You can get out of samples using wav, mp3, and ogg.

How can I change audio into midi? I've been using Ableton live. I record guitar mostly into audio tracks. How can I turn those audio tracks into MIDI. That way I can play my guitar as piano, strings, horns, etc.
