I did a MSc called " software techniques modules in it over the years.
Do an MSc, but only do one in computer science if you want to be a computer scientist.
In others they may never ask if you have one up to your retirement .

For some jobs, any engineering degree will do.
Another interesting tidbit: even if my education is not considered to be equivalent to a US bachelor's in petroleum eng, not all petroleum eng jobs require a petroleum eng degree .
