You will likely find some serious roadblocks to virtualizing HP servers with Parallels Server....
Desktop 5 for Mac on Snow Leopard Server, but it should only be used to virtualize client OSes or for non-production server OSes.

Is there any solution out there to turn a Mac into a true multi-user thin client server?

The only problem due to Mac Mail to choose MD5 challenge....
Mac Mail assumes that it's a problem with the password to distinguish server problems from authentication errors.
On the server, not anything specific to Mac Mail.
