We are a mixed environment: PC/Win + Mac + Linux macs for about 20 years.
No, we do not use anti-virus software on our macs.

I found out yesterday that you can use a remote control with a Mac. And I've also heard that iSight web cams can be programmed to detect any kind of movements?
What are some other cool/interesting features that a user new to Macs wouldn't likely know ...

What I really like every time I use a Mac, is the fact block-based.

This caused flame war in my Mac Users group, but the recent advisory that Apple released and then pulled suggesting using Anti-virus products. My take is that it's worth being safe rather than sorry, what's the general feeling on serverfault? And if yes...

It really depends it, and it's always better to be safe than sorry.
Viruses are harder to get on macs, but that doesn't mean they can't get them.
