This is a strange one. I have an aftermarket autometer gauge... If I have my MAF connected I can't boost past 2 psi. But If I disconnect it I can boost to 12psi but I blow out black smoke. Would this be a bad MAF sensor? or a bad boost leak? Vac leak?...

It couldn't be a boost leak as it would happen regardless of having the MAF plugged....

Your boost is controlled by vacuum, a vac leak would give under boost or irregular boost to ....
Thats all engine wise! MAF = fine Boost = first overshoot is ok then apears boost.
And uprated hard pipes...
I have a boost leak and i cant find it when it gets over 8 psi it squeals like a pig, could it be the intercooler?

You've found leak metal tube? and put where? Just put it on a boost hose, use an old one cut for a leak on the TDI Cut a circular piece of MDF or similar the same size as the pipe onto the maf.

I replaced the maf sensor, no change still no boost.The n109 valve is intermittent.Do I need to erase the codes?Does anyone have any Idea about a high sensor reading?This was measured at a repair shop,I have had boost only about 4 times in 20000 miles...

It back on the power is restored.

One leak I've always had, with two brand new turbos (SPA, and Precision) were leaks this....
leaks AFTER the maf sensor will cause you to run lean when not in boost and rich when in boost to be stickied! Good guide.
I disconnected the MAF and didn't notice any change in performance. Does this mean I need a new one?

Would be my guess Wastegate flutter? Can you hear it in the exhaust noise... .

But if the MAF is under boost in the charge pipes, wouldn't that mean there is a higher volume! xD I think I'm going to....
Compression from the boost goes away, the MAF is getting super confused and is going to have problems.
Ok, so I did a boost leak test yesterday after work and will do another in about an hour or so, I have a good seal on my tester and I'm using shop air. My boost gauge will only reach 10psi during the test hold air for about 5 seconds. I can hear air escaping...
