This is a strange one.
I have an aftermarket autometer gauge...
If I have my MAF connected I can't boost past 2 psi.
But If I disconnect it I can boost to 12psi but I blow out black smoke.
Would this be a bad MAF sensor? or a bad boost leak? Vac leak?...

It couldn't be a boost leak as it would happen regardless of having the MAF plugged....
Would this be a bad MAF sensor? or a bad boost leak? Vac leak? It would have to be a pretty bad leak undrivable.

You've found leak metal tube? and put where? Just put it on a boost hose, use an old one cut for a leak on the TDI
Cut a circular piece of MDF or similar the same size as the pipe onto the maf.

I provided a writeup that explains the how and why of boost leak testing. It seems that many are unclear on all the details and rationale of this important test. I developed this protocol specifically for the Mitsubishi EVO community, but the same steps...

So I need to get my MAF out of the charge pipes (Need to move it pre-boost) and want to know if anyone has any suggestions on this matter? Gauge of wire, best ways to go about doing so to prevent CEL's, etc.
If you have any tips let me know, thanks!

But if the MAF is under boost in the charge pipes, wouldn't that mean there is a higher volume! xD
I think I'm going to....
Compression from the boost goes away, the MAF is getting super confused and is going to have problems.
