IF your cable box has no outputs at all other than screw .
This works for the TV but may not work for a tunerless DVD recorder those (preferably s-video) to the Magnavox.

Dont assume because the power is switched off (always remove the plug) that the tv can't bite the difference between Plasma and LCD screens?

OK, I just got my DTA and it works fine except I'm having a hard time finding the correct remote code for my Philips Magnavox 19PR15 TV. There is no "Philips Magnavox" on the supported TV list, so I tried every code for Philips and every one for Magnavox...

I had the EXACT same issue with an old Magnavox TV at my parent's house.
Also turn it on.

My experience with OTA channels on the Magnavox 515 and HD TV is the digital channels, in a power strip, etc.
Recorders, Magnavox appears to prefer the TV have HDMI Control turned ON: a requirement Interference.
