Thanks, carb gasket eh? sounds promising.
A lot of outboards have a resrtictor plate/gasket fitted.
To follow up i have seen other outboards including mariners listed for sale as being 'uprated' so is the carb to engine gasket.

1972 Starcraft 21' Mariner (Split Windshield) Rebuild I live in Des Moines, IA. I purchased this boat in December. It was 364 miles fron my house. Today I took my "before pictures". Hopefully I will start demo tomorrow. This could go on for some time....

15 hp Mariner ID, year? I bought a 15' Meyers aluminum boat with a 15 hp Mariner outboard a couple of weeks ago. I bent the prop shaft and damaged the prop while running into a shallow area in the river. I'm hoping to find out more about this motor before...

Tested this prop on my boat. Didn't perform as well as the one I replaced or how I expected it to. Prop is brand new. Used it for around two hours on Monday. It will fit Mercy/Mariner 25 and 30 HP 4 stroke outboards 2006 and newer.
