I found the movement to be buggy, like if I doubled tapped left then held Mario would fly extremely?

Super Mario sunshine consistently crashes. ? While playing my copy on a gamecube or wii the game always crashes when it says "go! " the disk is not scratched nor is it dirty! Are there any suggestions as to anything I can try?

So my boyfriend and I have been playing Super Mario Sunshine for a while now. We beat the bowser in it and saw that ending. Now we got all 120 shines in the game and supposedly there should have been another ending.. but we got nothing. It kind of sucked...
