So the best is to just get married, get the marriage registered and let be (wait) for a year atleast.
A marriage based X visa does not allow you to work in India.

It is quite normal in that part of teh world to put the age of the bride/groom on marriage certificate in her passport not by the marriage certificate....
The Embassy will go by the date of birth in her passport not by the marriage certificate.
