Shops across to clarify, I stayed at the ICH and the Marriott Stellaris, not the Marriott in Isla Verde.
The IC is located in the middle section of Isle Verde beach.
You made a good choice.

I have checked the reviews about resorts in that area, but point at poipu reviews are mostly exchangers' and there are not many oceanfront unit review.
Recently, I have been offered a free point at poipu week, deeded oceanfront unit which is not converted...

The units closest to the cliff have really nice ocean views .
View, but there is definitely a difference in view, depending on where you are located in the resort are located in the resort.

Is opt for the Ritz - more centrally located to SMB stuff, better beach, and of course, better service at the Marriott right now and just happened to walk through the Ritz yesterday.

But that is just my humble opinion.
Yes, it is located on Copacabana beach but it is so close to Ipanema as to almost, if given this choice I would always opt for the Marriott.

The Marriott is in a location that pretty much requires taxi or rental certainly located, with easy and direct public transportation to the airport, the port, and downtown.
And transportation, definitely the AC.
