What Martial Arts clubs/schools are there in Longford.
I'm specifically looking for hapkido or a similar art. I heard a hapkido instructor moved his classes from Mullingar to Longford recently.

I'm thinking about starting the kids in some sort of martial arts. For my oldest boy (7) I think it would help with his confidence, and as for DS2...well let's just say I hope it will help to channel some of his exuberance!

I would avoid the mixed martial arts and go for something more specific...we found that with DS with his/clubs....
If there's a trial period?
DS loves it, but then he has family members who do different martial arts so has.

They are mainly training cascaduer, technically any beginner You can learn Wing Chun .
Arts, his family opened a small gym for martial art practice.

I got a black belt in Tae Kwan Do, practiced Brazilian Ju Jitsui and Muay Thai, went to a MMA themed school for awhile and did ok in the practice matches.
However due to joint damage and gas mileage, I had to drop out.

What's a good age to get my kid into some sort of program?
Also, what's a style or discipline that is both interesting and traditionally sound in philosophy? I don't necessarily want my kid to learn how to fight, I want him to learn how to avoid fights...
