Does she have web hosting? If so, PHPList is a decent piece of software that allows you to create and manage multiple lists, save message templates, and throttle outgoing messages to appease spam blockers .

We do up to 1000 emails per minute...
We have various applications writing to an email queue in a database table, and a .Net Windows Service polling that table to compose the emails and send out through our mail server.

I see in this forum that people are looking for ways to send mass emails. Just to let you know, recently I found that I could use google's smtp service to do that. It is free and quite fast.
I got java code to do that if anyone is interested.

Our company is sending out a lot of emails per day and planning to send even more in future. (thousands) Also there are mass mailouts as well in the ten thousands every now and then.
Anybody has experience with hotmail, yahoo (web.de, gmx.net) and similar...

I don't think anyone knows the 'right' rate spreading the emails sent to a single provider.
email mailouts over a day or night could be a way to do it.
