And when using applied math, chances are you will be usingWhat career/ field you plan on going into? As much as I hate it, you'll tend to find stats being stats anyway ...
Used way more than pure applied maths.

I was pretty sure that you can do this without a special formula .
And for 2, it's 1/2.9*100 which roughly equals 34.5% Yes I think you are right .
Shoot me if I'm wrong)
I think the answer for 1 is 20*5/100 + 30*3/100 + 50*2/100, which equals 2.9% .

It is better to study maths on its own for a uni course or study a combined subject, such as maths and statistics? (I personally like both courses)

In my school, ....
With stats it's often a lot easier to do straight maths and choose the modules you want.

Umm, i don't know about your school, but at mine you have to get an A* to take a further maths a-level, so everyone in my class got percentages of around 95% at GCSE
I'm currently finishing my AS in....

I'd follow the advice of the previous poster and maybe work through Further Maths as well.
Is to look at past step papers.
