Is it worth taking college classes if you are not going to college just to learn the subject matter? I want to take a continuing education class in college just to learn about science and meet people who are interested in science but it is not my major...

Admittedly back in college I was only interested on the programming courses. Fortunately that includes the "Data Structures and Algorithms" course. Now that I'm studying compilers I wish I had paid more attention on Automata Theory. How about you?

I dabbled in a bit of everything from oceanography-anthropology-pottery types of FA to a point where it brings it down to equal what you will pay at a state college.

The reality is that many of us will teach at Community Colleges or 4 year schools with non-traditional students. The first time I did I certainly learned from the experience.
