Chrome's not as good as I want.
I said Opera, not Chrome.
Opera has the best HTML5 Web Forms support, with version 12 scoring over 100 on the HTML5Test Opera leads over Maxthon in Web Forms.

After closing Maxthon, the process is not terminated and remains in memory, unless I manually terminate the sandbox process.
I tried putting Maxthon in as a LingerProcess entry, but it made no difference. Run the program outside a sandbox, and it behaves...

I meant, what version of Maxthon are you having this problem with, the stable version or the beta version? Maxthon v1.5.9 build 80 which I believe is a stable, non-beta, version.
