Maya defines polygons for meshes; ....
In hindsight, this was the right way to go).
Some others are: Maya .ma to generate all primitives exactly the same way as Maya.
Being that it's probably more of a hazzle than you'd first expect .
Im a new Maya user and never used 3d Studio Max but am curious to know what can be done in 3d Studio Max that cant be done in Maya? Do they serve the same purpose? Which one is better? Is there a difference?

Maya is great but Max does....
Personally I liked 3ds Max but started learning Maya around July last year here at DT because I was told it is better for animation and film vfx etc.
Whereas Maya seems favoured by those in film animation.
I was thinking these days, before i can't really get with Maya modeling techniques. I thought, can i just model in 3D max, with all that details on it, for high poly. And then transfer that high poly model in Maya, and do low poly, uv, texturing, lighting...

You could rig a character in Maya and controls are different than ....
Scene, or material information like the default saves, but it will let you get data back and forth may be, but the specifics of how each does them will be different.

With 'knot' selected and default settings and press apply nothing appears but the new object is selected: Before After I'm quite new to Maya, but I didn't differ from the instructions.

If it ever will be fixed at all...
So for now, I just deleted my character sets and I'll recreate them once the spine bug is fixed .
Quick update: I found out that the culprits behind the graph editor bug are the character sets .
