I'd like to load and onload mc's on the stage when certain buttons are pressed.
The catch is that whilst one of the mc's is playing I dont want any of the buttons to work -- in other words the user has to wait for the short anim to stop playing before...

I did this many years ago and I tried searching for this but did not find what I was looking for. I basically have a group of buttons and I want the buttons to load movie clips into an empty mc and then have the movie clip close again when the user clicks...

I think what you want....
You load them want to load an external resource, then you're not "loading" anything at all.
You don't load things into a MovieClip.
The way you phrased this seems very AS2-ish.

I decided I wanted to get a full size 1911 with light rails. I know they are of dubious nature in many cases but for a bedside gun I think they make a lot of sense.

Ive owned both, both are great quality.

I'm getting a new turntable with a very adaptive arm and would like to try out a MC cartridge. I've seen preamps have a setting for MC and MM, so I am guessing this is ONLY for low output MC cartridges? I've read elsewhere on AK that high output MC carts...

I noted that a couple of HOMCs I tried sounded justified ones, of course -- in the ... .
Or use a stand alone, and two resistances for MC, and an HOMC option.
You can go with a high output MC cart or a step up with your MM phono input.
